ok i was upgrading my "big 3" wiring earlier today and also upgrading my fuse holder.

couldnt upgrade my big 3. all of the connection areas were way to difficult to get to and it wouldve been nearly impossible to do w.o jacking my car up (dont have a jack)... but my stock wire is suprisingly large, and looks to be in great condition, so im just going to get another battery instead

i never unplugged my power and ground on my amp (forgot to) and when i went to place the fuse in the wired up fuse holder, it blew instantly... i THINK that what happend is somehow my amp still being connected shorted out and blew the fuse...

so i unplugged power/ground from my amp, and put my old circuit breaker back on in replace of the new fuse holder to test that my amp was still ok... when i went to reattach my power and ground to my amp, like a complete ****ing retard, i put the ground into the positive and the positive into the ground on my amp w.o realiezing it.... sparked nicely

instantly figured i either A) blew my fuse B) blew my amp completely.... turned on my car and it wouldnt turn on....

think i blew my fuse???

is this easily replacable, how much may it cost, and where can i get a replacement

do you think my fuse blew because my amplifier was still hooked up, or could this be a problem elsewhere (faulty fuse holder? etc...)

oh and i realize im an idiot, i basically ****ed my still new system up... but i was just trying to upgrade my electrical //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

any help would be much apprciated

BTW: this was a hifonics bx1605d amplifier

do you not clearly see the big open gap in the fusing?

if anyone wants to paypal me 300$ for it its a deal otherwise its getting the office space beatdown if its not savable, however i think it is

ok, im going to help you out... but only because of how immensely ignorant you are...

with your first finger and thumb, grab ahold of the fuse... now with a wiggling motion, pull back AWAY from the amp... if done correctly the fuse should wiggle out of place... now , purchase another fuse of the same size, and repeat the process only this time push TWORDS the amplifier...

this is called, changing a fuse...
