Possible To Run MTX 801D At 1ohm??

I thought I read somewhere on here that you can modify the MTX 801d to run at 1ohm. Anybody have a link to this or know if it's even possible and if it is safe to do and still have a reliable amp?? I have it running at a 2ohm load right now and it has never gotten to hot and shut itself down yet so if doing the mod is going to make it to where you can only listen to music at max volume for a few minutes or something then I wont do it.
