I'm wondering in a mazda cx-9 is it possible to install subs below the floor/carpet? so i mean not under the seats but, below the carpet that is below the seats. the reason is that i deliver merchandise from time to time so i need to be able to fold down the seats to have room and i think these are the type of seats that fold down completely to the floor so there would be no room to have an enclosure just under the seat

thanks

With a lot of fabrication yeah sure. I have seen locally usa motorsports have a tahoe with a metal box that is cut down to the outside leaving him with cargo space. It has i think 18 8" dc's. Im trying to find the video i have of it from the los magnificos car show.

i'm guessing when you say " alot of fabrication" it means it's going to cost a lot of money? i wouldn't be able to do it myself so i'd have to find somebody

first you would have to see if there is room underneath the vehicle. it would have to be in the cargo floor area and i doubt theres room underneath to mouth anything seeing as how you would have to cut a hole in the floor and then fab up a box. Have you ever done anything like this before? Only you can answer the question if YOU can do it or not. How about adding a small sub in the rear side panels?

yes i mentioned right above your reply that I would not be doing it myself. anyway after more research i found pics of similar installs that people have done and like you said they installed the subs in the rear side panels, so that's what I'm going to have done, found some installers locally that will do it.
