I am thinking of getting a 10" sub for my Jeep Jiberty. I want it to be sealed because I want it to save some room. I have a 200 watt kicker amp that I want to use. I can build my own box, but need to purchase a subwoofer. It will be for mainly pop music, with some rap. Is it possible to get a a sub with that budget . I would like to spend $150 or less .

There should be no issue with having say 300watt or 500watt RMS subwoofer. Just realize that your amplifier is power limited, so don't overdrive it. There is a tutorial and many discussions out there on how to set the amp gain right with DMM. I would have bought Dayton Reference, Dayton Ultimax, or an Alpine Type-S. Speaking of which.. consider an 8 inch subwoofer in a ported box. This will give you output roughly similar to a 10 inch sub in a sealed box, but with a better low end extension. Alpine's 8 inch Type-Rs have very good reputation for good sound and being able to work in a reasonably small ported box. Alpine even sells an R8 in a custom built ported box, with a gross dimension of something like 0.7cu ft. The only issue is that they wired it for 2ohm impedance.
