Possible solutions to this problem...

My system has been on the fritz lately.

My amp sometimes has power, other times it doesn't at all, and sometimes it'll have power then lose it. Do you think it's my amp kit, or what could it maybe be?

Sounds like a loose ground connection...

Where in NC are you? If you're close to me, I'd be glad to troubleshoot your system...

I have a Sony amp (all I could afford), and sometimes it'll go from green to red (which I guess is protection) but other times.. nothing.

I'm 45min. west of you...

I'd do what I said previously, see if that solves it. The amp cutting off intermittently sounds like a bad/loose ground connection. Did you ground it to bare metal, and securely bolt it on there?

if it isnt, loose ground or remote connection.

It might be the ground. Do you mean the connection to the amp, or where the grounded to wire itself.. cause I have no idea where to find the latter.

And I didn't install it myself, I had it done. Cause as you can see, I know little to none about the installation procedure.

Jack if we can't maybe give somethings to check out while at home, meating up would be cool. Wherever would be easiest for you.

if the ground wire isnt connected correctly on the amp, the chassis, or if it is severed somewhere, the amp could go into protection
