longer screws provide much tighter joints without the screws stripping. caulking should never be needed on a box that is carefully cut.Guidelines:
BOXES:
1 1/2" DRYWALL SCREWS for enclosures consisting of 3/4" MDF.
3" DRYWALL SCREWS for enclosures consisting of 2 sheets of MDF glued together making each board 1 1/2"
ALL Screws will be measured equal distance apart from the insides of the wood.
ALL encloures will be fabricated with fabric provided by myself.
ALL screws will be glued in.
A caulking will be used to airtighten all "cracks" of the box.
