Upgrade - 2 15's -> 4 15's + more power, but less air space /sub. Big difference?

DJ at audioque offerred me a deal on 2 more of his SDC 2.5 15's. Can get 2 for about $360 shipped after duties and customs and such. And Ive been looking for a good jump in spl over the 2 I currently have.

Only problem is air space. I wouldnt be able to give them a whole lot. I could take up my whole trunk and rear view mirror and get about 13 cubes probably. Which isnt exactly the 4.5net DJ recomends/ sub.

What Im really curious about is just if there would be an audible difference going from 2 15's in a nice box @ 38hz to 4 of the 15's in only a slightly larger box and giving them all the same ammount of watts theyve always been getting (500rms each, maybe a bit more)

So would I notice a difference? Or should I just say **** it and go big alternator, mach 5 spl 15's, tons of amp power...., thats alotta money though.... this adding 2 subs option I can do for $700 ish

3 subs is a horrible way to go.... keep it in pairs for best sound...

Drop some HDC's into that box and add a LOT more power = LOUDER

I just have a good deal if I wanna pick up the 2 more and wanna no if the difference would be noticeable.

What would the 4 woofers wire up to? Would I be able to possibly run them on a big monblock amp? Hopefully 1ohm for a good selection of amps, dont know much about the ohm rating and wiring options

if u got 13 cubes u can run all 4 15s take it from me ive ran 3 quad 15" sub setups! 12-13 cubes @ 31hz would be perfect

So probably like a kicker 2500.1 to run them all, or possibly 2 monoblock amps running a pair each @ 1ohm I guess

id like to have some headroom with the amps I think incase I want to give them more power and upgrade my electrical a bit more.

Curious HOW much the gain would be though. I know I will be doubling cone area, and doubling overall power atleast, but my box will be smaller cubic feet / sub. And I will probably be switching to a sub back, port forward or port up enclosure.

Im runing sub up port back right now, but I just flipped my box around so it was subs forward, port up, and I didnt notice a differnce at all. I was hoping sub back port up might sound perfect aswell
