Positioning subwoofers in my trunk.

im not exactly sure why but when the subs are facing the seats they are much quitere then when facing outward. also they are much quiter when facing up. am i just gay?

It's called cancellation, a phenomena where the sound waves cancel each other out when bouncing around inside your trunk.

Two things you can do..point the subs torwards the back of the trunk, or seal off the speakers to cabin of the car, isolate the trunk from the cabin so that sound waves don't travel back there.
