i want to port two decent size holes in my rear deck. are there certain key places i should do the ports at and any size hole? my car does not have speakers on the rear deck, so the space there is bare metal, covered by carpet of course. any suggestions/tips?

Try to avoid cutting through areas that have bends, cuz the bends help provide stiffness to the shelf. When I did mine I cut one big hole in the middle and glued/screwed an MDF ring to the bottom of the deck around the hole so the bare edges wouldn't be flapping in the wind.

thanks. here are some pictures of my rear deck to help out with visuals:

holes that are already there are stock. any suggestions for hole size and placement?

heres a dumb question but isnt that gonna make the rear deck panel bounce real bad from the bass escaping the trunk?

I'd cut your holes in the flat areas to the outside edges of your stock speaker holes... and make sure (as reit points out) that you have some kind of pass through in the package tray panel for the air, or it will rattle and bounce.
