Alright... Well I thought that the box I bought would be alright for my subs. Turns out the box is 2.25 cu ft and the max ported enclosure recomended volume is 1.75. So I need a way to take up .5 Cu Ft(or 6 cu in) inside the box. Whats the most practical way I could go about this?

Yea... Thats what I was thinking. Just adding layers of MDF to the walls. Or maybe runing a piece along the bottom corner across the back of the box. But ******* I hate math.

Maybe an empty 3 liter coke bottle gorilla taped inside //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
That sounds like a GREAT idea! But I think I'll just stick with the wood idea.

This is not a good idea. Where did you buy the enclosure? Can you link it to us?

Throwing things into the enclosure to change the volume will really increase your tuning frequency. Seeing that it is a pre-fab, it's probably already tuned pretty high. What sub are you using?

Also, a coke bottle is a terrible idea as the bottle will flex under pressure and you will have a variable pressure change that will change based on the pressure in the enclosure.

I was just kidding about the coke bottle idea. Im using 2 10" Kicker CVX's. The max recomended volume for a vented enclosure is 1.75 Cu Ft. The box is 2.25 Cu Ft. If I were to add another layer of MDF to the walls. How would that differ from the box being fabricated to whatever volume that ends up being?.... You follow?

2 10's in that size box will be fine... Now the tuning is what i would be worried about //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

cuz ud hav the same port length but less volume = higher tuning
