does the side with the port get louder in the car? like if the port is on the drivers side will that side in the car get louder?

Facing the port back towards the trunk is usually better sounding and usually louder over the spectrum. http://www.installer.com/tech/aiming2.html

Check the site out, it has a bunch of tests that show different positions of the same sub in different vehicles.

not really what im asking.. what im asking is will there be a difference if the port is on the drivers side or passenger side like will that side be louder in the car...

umm, thats a tough one. it seems that most of the air comes out of the port at tuning frequency with the subs hardly moving at all. and since more moiving air means louder i would think that it COULD make a little big louder. but if its in a trunk i dont think its gonna mke that much of a difference. i got a explorer and i fire subs up port back and it sounds just as good with subs and port firing back. ports up and subs whereever sounds bad in my car though. what does that have to do with anything? well i think its more important to get the sounds to reflect off whatever surface you have and fire into the cabin than it is on what side the port is actually on. just my .02 peace

on the termlab maybe, audibly, probably not

for me its loudest to have the port on drivers side and the mic in the passenger side.
