ported box for two sa15s limited space

i've tried everything the only thing that can work is flush mounting six 4 inch aeros 17-18 inches long which will give me around a 33-34 hz tune and 10.5 sq inches per and about 7.2 cubes if inverted. The only setback there is if the two 15 inches subs and six 4 inches aeros will actually all fit on the 39.5x19.5 inch face

I won't be going with a single sa15. if I go the single sub route it's going to be a zv3 15 or possibly even zv4 I really don't want just one sub but I have thought about it. I know single driver setups can be loud and sound great ecspecially a 15 but I just like a dual driver setup. What do you mean by enough square inches of port area to equal half of my sd? I have enough space to where i've figured out a way to use six 4 inch aeros 18 inches long mounted flush 4 inches from the back wall of the box and tuning checks in right at 33 hz and i can mount them normal with 7.1 cubes net after displacement and 75 inches of port area with 10.13 per cube...remember this is aeros were talking about...my man up above in this thread said 8-12 per is good with aeros since they are more efficient....so I'm not sure exactly what the issue is? 7.1 cubes net after displacement should be plenty for a couple sa-15 ecspecially when throwing over 2kw at em. it'll be tuned at 33 which is exactly where i want it and it would work well with sa-15s and it also is right smack in the middle of the port area sq in per cube that's needed for aeros so i'm not sure where the issues lies. as long as i can figure out a way to mount 6 different 4 inch aeros on the same face as the two 15 inch subs sub up port up i'm not sure what other issues there may be. now by no means am i an expert so if there's something i'm not covering here or some reason it's not going to sound good please let me hear it because that's the purpose in this thread to help me make an educated decision. thanks for the help guys

i'll probably go with a couple sa12s before i'd go with a single sa15 i'm going to have over 2kw on tap regaurdless of which way i go. It will be tuned with a dd-1 and I will have the electrical to back it up. I've already got an xs s3400 under hood and 0 gauge big 3 and I'll be getting a mike singer 220 amp alt externally regulated that is supposed to do 140 at idle and 220 by 1600 rpm with my vehicle. i'll probably even go with at least one other battery at some point as well so the electrical part of it is covered. I want a dual sub setup (not totally opposed to a single setup but prefer dual) and I hope i can somehow do sa15s that's what I'm trying to make work.

oh btw if I decided to go with a dc 18 how many cubes is good for those? i'd probably go with a level 5 or something...something that can take an saz2500 lol

i'd rather use sundown to be quit honest. I've done a lot of researching and stuff and the brands I'm really drawn to are sundown audio, incriminator audio, fi audio, and ssa. I know there are other very quality brands out there but for now those are the ones that really catch my eye in no particular order. I wouldn't mind trying a pair of fi audio ssd 12s. on 2.5k would a pair of stock ones work well in say....5 cubes net at 32 hz? fi recommends 1.8-2.5 cubes I figure bigger the better since I'm not throwing crazy power at them. Same with the ia lethals. If I were to choose a one sub setup I really have my eye on an ssa zcon 15...those seem to me to be straight monsters that have the sound I am looking for. As far as dual sub setups I want sa15 if it's possible to make them fit...with a good box...if not I either want two sa-12, two fi ssd 12 or two ia lethal injection 12. the latter two would be in about 5 net at 32 and the sa-12 i'd go about 4 cubes at 32. Any reason why the sa15s wouldn't be a good idea in my situation? 7.1 cubes net, 10.5 sq in of port per cube at 33 hz with six 4 inch aeros? any reason why that wouldn't work? if it's not a good idea what do you think about my other ideas? thanks

I understand if you use a 10 inch aero it needs tonne 10 inches from the back wall in the box and 10 inches away from the surface of whatever happens to be around it...or a ports length so to speak. How critical is this? What if it were a 10 inch pipe and it was only say 6-8 in from the back wall and OR 6-8 inches from my ceiling in my car? Would this effect much. I can use a single 10 inch pipe and get 35 hz tune if it is 16 inches in length....I cod put it the full QP inches off the back wall and it would be about 4 inches out of the box which I don't mind but I'm not 100% sure it would be a full 10 inches away from my roof at that point but it'd be at least 6-8 I know. This gives me right at 7 cubes after sub and port displacement with 10.67 sq in if port per cube tuned to 35 hz. I'd rather be tuned about 33 but I think 35 would be good. I can add about 3 inches to the big 10 inch pipe length and bring tuning down to 33 but I'm not sure how far it'd be away from the roof. For sure not 10 inches then. I'll have to take exact measurements. I am tuned to 35 now in 4 cubes with two p3 12s...if I was tuned to 35 with sa15 7 cubes with a single 10 inch aero would they hit lows significantly better than my current setup or would low range not be changed much due to them being tuned the same at 35. I'd imagine being a higher quality sub with more xmax and it being a 15 should make a big difference but idk. Thanks

I'm thinking about a couple ia lethal injection 12s on 2-2.5 k rms in about 5 cubes net tuned to 32 hz with 15-16 sq in of port per....if I go with two 12s im starting toean that way...or one zcon 15 in 5 cubes 32 hz same power either way. I can't decide which one would get louder/sound better and move more air. The 12s have the cone advantage and a pretty good xmax (23mm) and SPL rating (86.4) plus good reviews. The zcon has an SPL of over 93 though so I'd think that would make up for cone disadvantage. Thoughts?
