Ported box for cvr 12" subs

I was temporarily out of the game, not by choice. Looking to start over. I have two cvr 12" subs. Looking to do a low tuned ported box. The are the silver face, I want to say 07 cvrs. Any advice? going in a buick lesabre. Space available is 14 tall,35 wide,30 deep. Don't wanna go super deep. I have 2000 at 1ohm for power.

Have u measured the trunk to see how much space u have to work with? Also what power will u be running to them?

6.86 cubic feet to work with after accounting for 3/4" wood displacement. I would go 4.5 cubic ft after displacement tuned to 34 for 2 12"

I would think so. Not to mention if the OP actually has 2k of power the cvrs will likely fail anyway, unless he sets gains properly to limit the actual "max" power the subs will see.

Gain will be set properly. I know i cant tickle cvr's with 2k (dc pai 2000.1).....until i dont want them anymore. just running cvrs till i have cash for new subs

i had the silver 10'' cvrs (i think the 07 model) and i was able to hunt down the manual which has info on the 12s also. they arent quite full plans but its more then anyone else has given you so far and its right from the manual

compact - 1.75 ft3 + port displacement / 2.5'' x 12'' port, 20'' long

spl/deep bass - 2.25ft3 + port displacement / 3'' x 12.5'' port, 20.5'' long

and thats per chamber.

Not really, the recommended for each is 2.25 cu ft.

Definitely wont beat on them. I have the skill to male the box, just don't have the know-how to build a ported box.

best bet, is to buy prefab. and since your saving up just save up get a box built by Prorabbit or someone on here. they get **** done.
