The owner of a car audio shop told me that it is bad to play my subs with the trunk open, because it is a ported box, and the box relies on pressure inside the trunk. Is this true, and if it is, how am i supose 2 check the sub to see if it is bottoming out or distorting, its quite difficult to me from inside the car. Any input would be great. TIA //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/imdaman.gif.bc6c552e19aa4ad8c47461144f40eb1a.gif

use a subsonic filter so the sub won't bottom out and yes if u have the trunk closed and u go and sit in the car u'll have more bass but if u open the trunk and then go sit down in the car again u let all the bass escape. So yeah, i guess with ur trunk closed the sub moves more air creating more bass.

I think everyone on this forum, maybe everyone in the world //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/scared.gif.f134e57c6c93ccd0f15aa5ac32c7d4a0.gif knows that theres more bass when the trunk is closed. Thanks for trying tho //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/satan.gif.9c6a335ed7aeeed3ee273e573f1fcaac.gif

I think the guy was just retarted. Because they just hooked up my amp for me and had everything playing (this was about a year ago btw) and i opened the trunk to look at it and he closed it really quick saying dont play it with the trunk open. I think he deserved a biatch-slap //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smash.gif.499e08a4a35ffaf54f4c8194fb8fe8ed.gif
