its a obd computer. ( on board diagnostics ) those mini hand held computers that u plugf into your cars computer and it tells u whats wrong. ( error codes and so on ) i was wondering if they are worth it

My friend has one and we hooked it up to my car and it read that the EGR VAlve was bad and the Turbine Speed COntrol Sensor was bad. We replaced them both and reset the computer and checked it again, the EGR problem was fixed but it still reads the Speed Control problem.

We have one. It's great, when it works. This is definately one of those "you get what you pay for" kinda deals. The one we have is just for check engine lights and it was around $200. It's been dropped and thrown around so sometimes it's hard to get it to work.

It depends what you want to do with it. If you're looking to reset airbag and ABS lights, then you're going to be spending a pretty good amount of money. Some of those cost into the thousands. If I remember right, we found one on ebay that would reset airbags for around $800, but it was just a very basic setup.

We were looking at one of those on ebay a few weeks ago. The one we looked at only went up to 2001. We were told we would have to buy more cartridges for it to work for the newer years, and that's expensive. If this'll work for what you need, then it's a great buy.
