cold air intake with water blow out valve

what are some really good brands that has this valve built into it?. it supposed to blow out or release any water that might have been sucked up through the intake. it rains alot where i live, and i just wanna be safe.

just run the CAI into the stock airbox and open up the bottom to keep water out of the intake.

kool, didnt know i could do that. just trying to be safe, after all its my only car and i dont need to be blowing any engines

unless you have a hefty turbo, your not gona **** any water up. unless you drive your car through a river and let it sit in there.

i would smooth the stock air box. and get a panel filter, also cut out the bottom and run a tube to the bumper.

aem cold air intakes have a bypass valve thing that prevents water from getting into the intake

thx guys. about a month ago a guy i know blew his truck engine when he whent through a water puddle. apparently the water came up through his cai and that was that.he bought a new engine but he wasnt happy about it.

i run a cone below my airbox

um no blown engines here and you can see the cone from under my car.

are there other brands besides aem? what if my car is lowered? should i get a short ram instead?
