Port Velocity

I get it now. It wasn't apparent to me from your first post that you were building a bandpass. You could really cut down on the size of that rear chamber considering the Qts and Vas of that driver. 2 cu.ft. with heavy fill would be sufficient.

Yeah, I was messing around with Win ISD and saw there really wasn't a reason to go 4 cu ft...was actually pretty happy with 1.5 cu. ft. for the rear and 3 for the front, and try to tune around 52hz.

I'm just hoping I don't end up with a super peaky box...only one way to find out though! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

BBP 6 is bassbox pro 6. it's what i used for my new box, which is real nice aside from a few fit issues in my car(my fault)

when i built my first bandpass box i was afraid it'd be peaky but i followed the manufacturer's specs and it came out fine. you should be good with the software too. i'll see what i can find with bassbox pro 6 for you now, post the results shortly

oh btw i personally think 50hz is a tad high, but i have been looking at nothing but huge spl monster boxes @ like 25-35Hz lately...

well this is what i came up with using bassbox pro 6. as you can see the program asked for a lot of numbers i didnt have but i'm pretty sure the chamber volumes and port dimensions are what they should be

the graph shows 35.7m/s max velocity

i'm not sure how youre wiring your subs but i assumed parallel/parallel but these are the parameters entered

the box part was new to me as i've never used the software for a bandpass box before but this is what i entered there

where did you get this program? know of any good torrents for it?

That's a pretty cool program! I'll have to try it out...That's awesome that they give you cut out dimensions and stuff.

Thanks for all the help guys!!!

i found a working torrent on http://www.thepiratebay.org

search either bassbox pro 6 or bass box pro 6 (i forget whether theres supposed to be a space or not)

there were 2 torrents i think and i tried them both. the one that worked i think is called bassbox pro v6.0.18

works well although the help feature doesnt work in vista and hitting the enter key seems to make the program quit

maybe theres a way i can send it to you if that doesnt work out
