POrt question

I need a 6 inch port which is 12 inch in length .

but the Box i have would only have 15 inch from the depth i cutted the 6 inch hole .

i got a question .

if i want ot use a Round Port .

Can i Bend the Round port to create the length i need ?

i was thinking .. a 6 inch diameter port - which is only 8 inch .

and then i add 2 more port beside it which is only 2 inches in diameter ?

is this allow , anyone have any idea or suggestion .

you can use the calc on http://www.psp-inc.com to see exactly how much port you need. I don't think combining port sizes will work.

i was reading the mach of about 0.10 which i think is better with less noise .

the hole drilled is 6 inches . - that is why i am asking this question . a smaller port would give me a shorter length .

just seeing also if anyone have good idea if i insist on having the 6 inch diameter round port -

will bending it be a good idea ?

i am tuning at 35 hz .

if i shorten it i must tune it at 40-43 hz .

bending is a lot better idea then two additional pipes or whatever you were talking about.... bending should be fine.....

did you calculate the displacement of the port before !?!? j/w

Bending the port will work just fine...make sure to take into account the length of the "bend" when calculating overall port length to get proper tuning.
