port question

ok someone answer this port question please

thats the box, and the port is 3 inches wide, and 11.5 high. I need a length of 25.91 (26") but the box is only 24" deep. So what do i do? When i split it do i halve the width (both sides should be 1.5" wide. Then continue them for the remaining length?

so basically green line = 22.5" (3.5" needed for rest of port)

blue line is 1.25 (ends up being right at total port length)

But since the pink width is only 1.5 instead of 3, i do the port to the left and right.

Also, before you suggest, i can't put the port on the side. It must be OCD but i hate the look of it, i need symmetry. either one middle port (two 12s going in the box) or two ports one on each side.

What's the box volume ? Is two ports feasable ? I'm not a rocket scientist or anything, but seems to me that narrowing at the end of the port like that would be constricting. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Meaning all three pieces ( two oust side port walls, and divider ) are the same length ? Your speaking of something new to me. ok specifics....

4.164 box volume before woofer displacement but after port. Port needs to be 11.5" x 3" x 25.91"

box is 13" high x 37" wide x 24" deep

You think it'd be easier to just divide it and make it like two boxes?

I don't want to thread hijack but this thread is going to answer one of my Q's. When using 2 subs in a ported box, you need a divider between the vents? Is that correct?
