Port Placement

I feel it will help more than hurt, like u said it probably won't hurt anything, but I met the 3.5 cubes I was shooting for(well...3.48337373204) Lol so I'm cool with the design. Should work out very nicely

 
Cool. Sounds like it might get loud lol.. Hopefully I will be wanging away come Sunday Mike said I didn't need bracing but I feel anything over 2cf requires some form of bracing so I went and got me some dowels and its going to look real nice I just hope it sounds like its going to look.. GL with your box man.

 
I wouldn't do sub back in a trunk with a 15. It just chokes the pressure from getting into the cabin because it can't get around the box very well. I've had the best results with sub up and port to the driver's side. but if my seats folded down, I would defintely do sub and port forward and seal it from the trunk.
