Port placement

Was wondering how big an issue it would be for the inner flare of a aero port to be about 2 inches away from the subwoofer. The way the box is it either has the port end close to the subwoofer or it would have the tube of the port go underneith the subwoofer, but only be about an inch away from the bottom of it.

not sure honestly...but you could put part of the port outside of the box, or get a 90° bend

not 100% sure but id go with potion 2 from what ive read you want the port opening as far as possible from the sub. and as stated above if you can find a way to make a 90 degree angle work better then that would be a great fix.

lowes had some sewer pvc that fit onto my flares perfectly, they have 90° couplers there if i remember right...
