Port placement on under seat box ?

Hey guys, my best friends son wants me to put him together a lil system with an extremely limited budget of 200.00 for amp and subs. He wants the box built under the back seat in a 99 GMC ex. cab truck. I was thinking subs up, firing into the seat would be the best for that, but which way should the port face ?

Also this is what I have picked out for his limited funds, what kinna volume and tune should I do with these ?

Kenwood KFC-W3011 12" 1200W 4-Ohm Subwoofer

on this amp

Crunch P1800.4 1800W 4-Channel Powerzone Series Car Amplifier

Will there be enuff room for the 12's or should I look into a 10 like a similar kenwood, or the Pioneer like this one on a crunch 1400.4

Pioneer Premier TS-W1007D2 10" 1000W Dual 2-Ohm Subwoofer

Either combo would see the amp bridged to 2 channels and a 2 ohm load for 400 rms for the 1800, or 350 rms for the 1400.

Or if there are any other suggestions that fit the budget with new stuff I am all ears. I thought about 1 decent sub, but the kid wants 2 so selections are VERY limited.

2 10" would be an "easier" way of going being that there is very limited space under that seat. Port would probably be best fireing forward with the subs up. Now this is just my opinion from seeing friends build for their trucks. I've never built a box foe that exact truck. So others may have another opinion.
