Ok, I will have 7.5 net after subs, bracing, and port displacement (guestimating roughly 1 cf).

The port i am using will be 8" x 16" and i am trying to determine the length. I have tried carstereo.com's calculator, but im not sure why it gives different lengths depeding of if this is a slot port. It can very easily be, or it can be a square port in the middle of the box, id rather it be slot though for extra bracing.

I am coming up with a lenght of 14.51" for slot, 22.51 for not.

cliffs:

can somebody help me determine the length:

7.5 cubes, 8"x16" x ??? slot port, 38 hz

thanks,

Cody

this is my little design in Paint:

the top and bottom depth are actually 12" and 18", i did not take into consideration the double baffle because the online calculators showed me .75" thick of wood.

I am coming up with 7.874 cf after port displacement (17.5 x 8.75 x 13.25 actual outer dimensions in the box)... and after sub and bracing displacement roughly 7.5 cubes net.

can someone verify if this is accurate for 38hz tuning?

so to sum it up: port= 8" x 16" x ???" long , 7.5 cubes net, 38hz...
