Port Help and someone who runs LARGE aero's

I have a Mach5 MJ 18 going into my tahoe soon so I'm going onto the box stage. Im thinking 5 Cubic feet after Displacment using an 8" sono tube as the port tunned to 30hz. Now my question is, My width is 48 on the truck, so If I made the box 46" wide, can I fire the port at the wheel well? Yould this choke the port? I;m looking to move some pretty decent air.

the port is 8" wide so you need at least 8" from the back wall on the inside of the box and also any flat surface on the outside of the box, but jeez 8" aero???

Why not. Only 50 sq in of port area.

yeah tru, i mean i might would just use 1 6" aero' up to you tho, but make sure u leave enough room for how big the aero is, get wat im sayin?

Yea, I go it. Might have to run slot port as I dont want the depth of my box to be so long (24.25 +8+32.25" Internal) Even 6" are pretty long to run subs up port back

i think you're cutting it close with it being 2" from the well.

Its 5.21 cu ft after Port displacment. 74 Sq in of port area (18.5" x 4") Tunned to ~30 Hz

i was going to run at 8" aero also and i had the same problem so im going to a slot port now:crap:

use pvc and get an elbow the port it forward. The 90 adds more than its length to the ports resistance I don't remember how to figure it out anymore I had a way to do it long ago.
