Suv guys what's the rule for port next to hatch door? For instance let's say two 8" aeros. Could I get away with 6-8" or so? Or bad idea?

minimum is 1/2 port diameter

you could get away with 4"

some people gain putting it that close some loose

if you can, experiment with it a little to see what is best.

Possibly. Not sure what you mean lol. Had a few drinks with the wife last night when I typed it lol.. I'm just entertaining a idea but box would need 2 8" aeroports and would be 4-6" from my rear door on my truck.

I have seen the half of port area rule so two 8" ports would be 8" away from the rear door. According to that anyways. Was just curious if closer was ok.

Had me a little confused but what you said is plenty. Typical "rule of thumb" for any port distance from it to the tailgate or whatever is usually 3-4"....I wouldn't go any less.

1/2 of the diameter if you have noting in the way of the port on all sides
