Port design ?

I am making my first box and wondering what does the port size 3.5" x 10" x 5.5" mean? the box size is 19.5" x 43" x 19.5"

Thanks for the help this is my first box so this may be a dumb question but what exactly do you mean when you say the port size is 3.5" x 10" x 5.5"? does that mean 3.5" wide 10" deep than another 5.5" length thats 3.5" wide?

3.5" wide

10" tall

5.5" in length
