When I moved from northern Indiana to St. Louis in '93 I had to make the change from saying "pop" to soda". Kids in high school looked at me like I had 2 heads when I asked for a "pop" when I'd go to their house.

Soda here in St. Louis, and depending on how old a person you're talking to, you might even get "Sodie" heh.
