I voted for the lift, not too often you see a lifted avalanche (least where I am I haven't seen a single one) Its 4wd and you see a lot of snow, probably won't do too much off roading but the lift would be my choice, otherwise it looks pretty clean.

I say get the lift. Get these rims.
And black on black it. Put some black Line-X on the claddng and a gloss black paint on the truck. Then tint it up.
those would look perdy good with a black on black.

I thought about line-X too, but im curious as to how it would look against a glossy black paintjob, because line-X isnt really a solid jet black.

I never did understand the big gawdy plastic parts on the Avalanches. Just ruined that ride for me. Is nice besides that.
holds up a whole lot better than paint, thats for sure, specially with salted roads

and as stated above, not a single door ding on my truck //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Would look better than the grey that's on the cladding right now. You could always do a flat black on the truck and get the wheels repainted to match. Those wheels look good with just about any color. My favorite combo is a 4wd Tahoe with those wheels in a 22 incher, with fire red paint and black lower trim panels.

If you are planning to repaint as well as match the cladding and all I wouldn't lift it. Build the truck in one direction. Either you lift it and get mudders for a rough look (keep the cladding the same), or you keep it the factory height, get bigger rims and paint it all one matching color. (pimp it out) I wouldn't try to do both. I've seen way to many vehicles with an identity crisis.

And depending on the color of your interior, a deep gloss black (with cladding included) Avalanche with 26" chrome, or black spoke/chrome lip, and HID headlights would look very hot.

24's

get door handles, panels, etc. chromed out

just to let you know many rims and tires that are bigger than what the gears are rated to handle is what hurts gas mileage the lift wont affect mileage that much but big rims and tires will

also will slow down the truck if you get bigger rims and tires or just rims i suggest getting new gears to offset for the rims/tires
