I'm running a 4ch Power Acoustik (100wrms x4 @4ohm) speaker amp in a honda civic 2 door. I listen to a lot of hip-hop, dance, techno and classical music. Sound quality is preferable over getting loud (but I do want them to get loud enough). Out of these 2 components, which would be more suitable? They are both the same price and I have heard great reviews of both speakers. I will be upgrading from my current Polk DB6500 (3 year old speakers).

i havent heard the polk comps but a buddy of mine has the ctx comps and they sound pretty good for the price range. i believe he too is feeding them 100 watts

I have not heard those polks but i am currently running a set of the CTX65 comps an love the sound quality on them. I saw some pics of the ID CTX65cs and the magnet is pretty thick. I spoke with a well known car audio install shop and said there is a chance it might not fit my 2003 Civic Coupe without special modification (extra $$$). Anyone here running huge components up front with a 7th generation (2001-2005) Honda Civic coupe/sedan by any chance?

You will need spacers. We did a buddies with the hertz MLK mids in there and you will need at least .75" spacers.

You guys should be looking at some ARC FD6000 as well.
