opinions on polk momo mm6 speakers, are they good, do they provide good mid bass!

They sound good, I dont have mine sealed so I couldnt tell you about the midbass. I do know that they have alot of excursion though, which might mean that they have good midbass. There is slight distortion, but I think thats because I dont have them sealed. Other than that they are great comps.

i have the mm5s and they have great midbass. they're not sealed either.

in fact, when my subs were out of my 4runner (stolen), i was pleasantly surprised at just how much mids and bass they put out.

dunno about the mm6s, but if they're like the 5's you'll be good to go!

not too $, they have them on sound domain for 300 but you can get them off ebay for 180

I wouldn't push then that hard, the rms on the mm6.5 are 150 but i'd give then 125 or a little lower. because you figure your cd reciever is probably giving them 35rms if you have a good one

its all personal preference.

i would say this -

nice drivers, well engineered and sound quite good. can be had for aroudn $200ish shipped, and thats not ebay either - pls dont ask where, but i did see them for the $200 on the net......check a company in the 'current company list' sticky, should be there somewhere.

for the money - not many other combinations will beat it outright.

i however, prtefer morel audio drivers to anything heard so far.

We have the 6.5 coax and 6x9s at work, they sound great, better than Infinity Reference components and the Polk db components. They play lower than any other speakers of the same size at work (Circuit City). I was thinking of getting the MM6s but I decided to go with Infinity Kappa Perfects instead but that's only because of the setup I'm going to do (the Perfects in kickpods, MMC650s in the doors, no rear speakers, this is so that the speaker frequencies differenciate more).
