Polk Audio MM6501, Image Dynamics CTX65, Hybrid Audio L6 or others for ~$230

Which one of these is better, and why? If you owned or heard any of these list some pros/cons.

I'm looking for something that will sound great but get loud. I'll be powering them with an amp just dont know which one yet. I'll be using 2 12" level 3's running about 1200 watts to each.

My original budget was $150, but I've moved it up to $230 now, so if you know anything else thats better list it here.

I voted for the MM's, cause thats what I chose for mine. I looked around for something that sounded great but didn't break the bank.

The MM are ok for the price.

The Tweeter has really soft sound, the midrange was kind of muddy , not much midbass.

The ID are probably one best budget comp sets.

The tweeter is kind of smooth, but i did love the midrange tonality, & it has good midbass.

The HAT6 are a little out of your range.

these are a great comp set with a heavy price tag.

have you seen these?

for the price i have thought of buying a set just to have.

yes i have heard these about 4yrs ago.

they have a very flat sound, not bright.

the midbass is the champion in this comp set.

ive owned the mm6501. even tho it was my first set of components, i was happy. I would recommend them. I've never heard the ID's but people seem to like them.

i have two 10 polk mm subs, i love the SQ.

i can only imagine how the components sound, but im too cheap for them =/
