Polk Audio DB 12's....Need help please.

A buddy of mine is going to sell these subs in the box for 80 bucks. Is it worth it? I see they retail for 399. But, are these subs good? Has anyone owned a set of these?

My friend had those. They were alright... definitely not "loud" though.

i completely disagree.

i used to sell those when i worked at circuit city. we had alot of setups with those and i was always really impressed.

when i was waiting on my spair for my solo x, i threw one of those on my zx2500.1, man was it loud! didnt last very long though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

if i was working with limited power, id probably pick those up again.

Decent subs, good SQ, not a ton of output, but still decent.

Meh, 80 bucks, if it's a pair, I'd do it.
