Plexiglass box

The reason i ask is because for $265 i am buying a 15" Rockford fosgate Power

hx2 and a plexiglass box that measures 15" deep, by 18" wide, by 16.5" tall is this a good deal?? they guy said the box was made by gately audio and cost him around $300 about two years ago. what do yall think

If the sub is in good shape ( check the coils ) and the enclosure is in good shape ( no cracks , or chips ) then I would offer him $250 . Ebay the fook out of the enclosure , and put that power hx2 in a larger ported enclosure with lotsa power //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

what would u suggest enclosure wise?? would that sub be able to handle the full potential of my t1001bd?? its 1400+ watts rms @1ohm on the birthsheet (dont remember exact numbers) with proper enclosure and that amp would it be louder than a new 15" l7??

3-4 cubes net should be good, with ~60+ inches of port..

It should take that power nicely, that amp puts out clean power. If you hear stress in the woofer just turn it down //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I would think it will be louder than an L7, I have owned both drivers..
