plexi window

i want to put a plexi window on the back of my box , i want to use 1/2 inch plexi but all i can find arond me is is 1/4 and everywere online cheages up the wazoo for 1/2". would it work if i just dubbled up on the 1/4" , or would the two peices rattle aginst each other ? the window will only be about 28"x9"

I dont think it would be such a great idea to use 2 pieces of 1/4" to get 1/2". I'm suprised none of the places around you will do it that thick. I know a lot of places where I live dont normally do it, but when you tell them what you are doing and explain to them that 1/2" is the only option, they'll do it for you. You could also try asking for Lexon. It may be easier to find in 1/2" and doesn't scratch as easy.

Yep, lexan is much better than plexi. Try going to a glass shop and they can order it for you if they don't have lexan.
