I was just starting out when I bought the cheap hifonics amp, now I am upgrading to things you can only dream about, or steal from someone in your case ahahaha. My truck is worth more than yours, Hell my Harley is worth more than you truck and my wifes mustang is sure as hell worth two of your truck. You failed live with it and move on, just say sorry I failed this time, learn from it and move on.

Here is two kicker 12 CVR new for $104.00. at radio shack here they are $89.00 buy one get one free.

Please show me where I was bragging? If I recall correctly, I mentioned that you're stupid. Then I proceeded to point out your ignorance in regards to car audio. And then I defended myself by informing you that your equipment is no better than the junk that I have lying around at the moment. Lastly, I called you out for your sorry a$$ attempt to make yourself seem successful.

And serioulsy, bro. You might want to up your medication if you think your 5 year old truck is worth more than a loaded out 2 year old vehicle that has less than 30,000 miles on the odometer. And congratulations on the Harley. It's yet another easily attainable and overvalued piece of $hit for you to brag about.

I promise that I will admit defeat and apologize when and if you can make a single valid point that forces me to do so...

*Facepalm.*

2 things, testosterone is too high resulting in e-penis size competition thread, and I burn coils without killing the sub all the time. They play just fine, but are teh smelly afterwords, regardless of what power I put though it.

Thanks for the reply, the Subs are wired in series right now, I didn't think they should be wired to 1Ohm on the 1600D. it said 550 at 4ohms, 1100 at 2Ohm which i can't do with the D4 Subs and 1600 at 1Ohm which I was thinking would be to much for them.
I have only had them for maybe a week and only listened to them for maybe 4 hours total so far. The one is playing now, but their is a poping sound to it, it sounds to me like the coil. Do you think it could be defective from the get go? Anyways thanks for the help.
Well I assume they aren't wired just in series, as that would present a 16 ohm load. Im guessing you have a combo of series/parallel. Use a DMM to test the final impedance (ohm) the amp is seeing (at the amp's terminals) and let us know what you find.
A popping noise while the speaker moves is either the motor bottoming out, or something in the suspension, probably. A coil usually either rubs, making, well, a rubbing noise, or it fails completely and the sub stops working altogether. Are the subs in a common/shared chamber? If so, the one may be completely dead but the other is moving its cone.

That smell is usually from the adhesive (glue) on the coil/former, not the wire in the coil itself. Think of the actual wire in the coil as similar to a fuse, once its heat disspiation capabilities are surpassed, it melts through and fails. Coils can get blackened/charred, but the metal in the coil has not failed yet.

Hmm, you failed but I will give you credit from trying to hang on for dear life. You fail at math also because an 04 is not five years older than an 07 that would be three years. I have 48000 miles on my fullsize truck with a 5.7 Hemi.

I just looked up kellys blue book value something you can go do, and I was VERY nice to your trucks features and the bluebook was $13,500.

That same bluebook on my truck was $16,645 so looks like you fail again.

My wifes mustang is $25,765

Anyway whom on this forum gives two shits about what I own or you own, I am done with you. You failed Bad so just accept it and move on.

Good job on editing your post, dick cheese.

On the subject of the RF comps. YES, they are just as good as your Polks. You picked the absolute cheapest place to buy them. My RF comps sell for $200 and even $300 on several websites. It doesn't make them any better or worse than your Momo's.

Here are a few examples:

http://www.grabcart.com/product/ele/speakers/pacificstereot152sroc/Rockford-Fosgate-T152S

And please let me fill you in on a little secret about your precious Momo comps. Crutchfield had a buy one get one free deal for them last winter. $149 would get you 2 brand spanking new pairs.

Your ID subs = over priced. Far better subs can be had for way less money.

Your RE SR's = I can buy them all day long for $99 each.

Diamond Audio = yawn.

And all of this because you said I have no sub in my truck at the moment. I DO have subs, and they aren't much worse than the crap you're price quoting and bragging about. I JUST DON'T USE THEM. What part of that don't you understand?

I own a quad cab pickup. It has zero room under or behind the rear seats. I MUST remove the rear seats in order to do anything noteworthy, and I'm not willing to do that for a pair of entry level 12" Kickers. Can you understand that now, or do you want to brag about your entry level equipment and your mediocre vehicles a little more?

You fail at math also because an 04 is not five years older than an 07
Never said it was. I said your truck is 5 years old and mine is 2 years old. Please use a little reading comprehension, it's the least you could do.

"And serioulsy, bro. You might want to up your medication if you think your 5 year old truck is worth more than a loaded out 2 year old vehicle that has less than 30,000 miles on the odometer."

quoted for truth.

Makeshift here:

I know that. I've rewound a few myself. Generally the coil former is coated with epoxy, and allowed to dry until tacky, then while winding, epoxy is coated on the wire while it is being wound on, after each layer, the epoxy is allowed to sit until it is then tacky, then repeat the process until you have a desired layer count to correspond with the desired DCR, which can easily be calculated with the ohms/foot method.

I'm not saying you think I'm stupid, but I gathered it to be that way.

I quoted truth from Kelly bluebook on the trucks lets see a 2004 full size dodge quad cab full loaded with a Hemi and tricked out as you kids call it or a 2007 dodge dakota V6 toy.

Bluebook says I am $3100.00 more than you so once again you fail kido.

You have showed your ignorance once again by placing value on a vehicle that you know nothing about and have never laid eyes on.

My Dakota is a fully loaded with every possible option, 2007 quad cab 4x4 with a 4.7 V8. It has aftermarket 20" wheels, billet grille, flowmaster dual exhaust and a very nice Clarion touchscreen dvd player added to what was already a pretty nice ride to begin with. It doesn't have a single scratch on it and mileage is 27,xxx.

It's worth a little more than the pos that you searched for, numb nuts...
