should i do the 'Windows Hard Drive Recovery' ? if so, theres 3 to choose from afterwards..... which one should i pick?

I am going to assume that you are running NTFS but find out. Goto>mycomputer>right click on your drive that is erased then look at file system. It will say FAT32 or NTFS.

i hope it works. i downloaded a program called recurva, or something like that last night. it seems like i got back most of my songs, but they wouldn't play, so i scraped it and decided to wait for you

You will most likely not get 100% due to the way the files are deleted. You should get back a high percentage. Downloading the other program may have caused the new program not to work though.

*PONDERS* You may be SOL. First program you used may have done something. Or after the deletion but before you noticed, you could have messed with the allocation tables.

i don't see how.......... the programs i installed to get my songs back were on the c drive; my songs got deleted from the D drive

if it didnt take you 5-10 mins to delete then you didnt delete 12 gig of music, that takes time.

Music is still there, my guess is your short cut was bahletted

idk man. on my D drive, my music was stored in a folder called 'new folder'. as soon as i went to the 'add or remove programs' and deleted this **** divx stuff, all my songs were gone, but the 'new folder' was still there. it was just empty. in fact, my whole D drive was empty
