Please help/

alright so i just bought a new system two days ago and im already running into problems. I have a 2ohm alpine type r 15" running of an SPL 3000w monoblock at 1ohm with a kinetik capacitor which is supposed to be like 100 fared. ok so the first day i hooked it all up right n it was bumping so ****ing hard at 1/4 level setting on the amp and the second day it as thumpin hard too, but today i noticed some of the wires were showing so i unhooked the cap and the amp then hooked them back up w/o wires showing, well i accidentally touched the pos and neg wire hooked up to the cap so it made sparks n shit, so now when i turn my system on the sub doesnt hit as hard on 1/2 level as it did at 1/4. im thinkin when it sparks it might have discharged the cap but i cannot tell if its charged n i dont know how to charge it because its not like other caps. any help would be great

Bypass the cap and see how it sounds, and then ditch the cap as you don't need it...

Take the cap out and see if it helps. Make sure you disconnect the ground on the battery when you change wiring around to keep things safe.

a negative wire is a ground wire. n btw i tryed the capacitor bypass and it makes no difference??
