okay i have a memphis 16-ST100 amp (50x2 @ 2ohms, bridged) running to a 450W sub wired @ 2ohms (it's just something im playing around with) the amp has been wokring fine for about two weeks until recently the sub just stopped playing, i hooked the sub up to my home stereo and determined the sub was fine, i changed my in amp fuse and still the would not work, i'm just wondering what you guys might think the problem is since i am definently not over powering the sub, could i have damaged my amp?

how high were the gains on the amp...you might have smoked it

the gains are set at about halfway, but the sub turned off again yesterday so i just unhooked my subs at the cup terminals and put them in the garage then went out this morning and put them back in and they worked for about 5 minutes!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

is your sub SVC or DVC? how do you have it wired?

4 ohm DVC wired at 2ohms to the amp bridged at 2 ohms, and protection isnt on, it says i have power, do you think i could have possibly messed up the rca inputs on my amp? and the HU is an Alpine 16Wx4 if that helps any

hmm if protect isnt on then it should work...i would try your rca's
