Hey all, I recently had a Pioneer headunit installed in my 01 Acura CL. I have Bose speakers, which are amplified by a stock amplifier (I assume the amplifier is also Bose). The problem is now I hear crackling in my speakers when the volume is turned completely down. Does anyone know whats wrong? What do you guys recommend I do to fix it?

the bose speakers are notorious for falling apart from sun damage (which might be your issue, if you've not examined the speakers yet). Also the bose amplifiers have a problem with the capacitors on their boards which add noise or just outright fail. I had all bose in my vette at one time and just ended up ripping it all out and starting over...

you know what bose stands for right ?? B.O.S.E = Buy Other Sound Equipment

you had the hu installed by who? if there was no crackle b4 and now there is, i would take it back to whoever installed it and have them fix the problem.

no highs, no lows?

must be bose.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
