Please help:

Yeah I think I called them a LONG time ago and they said something about only mids, but why wouldn't they sell the whole component set? I mean.. it's under Component speakers..
Well call them. They've always been listed that way. They may actually be available now as a set.

Not to steer you away from RE, but those mids are DEEP. Most vehicles need customization to accomodate them.

I wouldn't get that Blaupunkt radio, and I'm not so sure about buying Memphis from unauthorized either (they claim to be very picky). Besides that seems cool. Most of the 2005 product is coming off of MAP and if any of it is left, you can probably get a good deal. The Monterrey is carrying over so you aren't getting lots of bang for your buck.

Yeah I know, my friend got the other set of component speakers and he had to custom fit them, so im sure he can do it for me as well.
RE RE comps and XXX mids are different beasts entirely. You'd better do some reading up on XXX mids, seriously.

IMO Pioneer head units are nice because of all the control they have.
Blaupunkt, like Pioneer, Kenwood, Eclipse, Alpine, Panasonic, etc etc etc has entry level HUs, mid level decks, and higher end units which naturally are better suited to centering an involved audio setup than would be their lesser equipped brethren in any given manufacturer's product lineup.

It all becomes a matter of personal preference. Some people do not care about the presence (or lack thereof) of digital time alignment, parametric EQs, blah blah blah. I am personally not a fan of Blau's at all from a very negative experience I had with them when I first got started in my audio obsession. But they're still in business and selling decks, amps, speakers, and subs all over the world as well as being the OEM-audio supplier for several automakers so I don't suppose my opinion makes heaps of difference to them.

TacoSauce ~ my feelings about Blau notwithstanding if you like that deck, get it! There are other things at that price point which would be looked at as well if it were me - but it's not.

I had a Blau nefore and had no issues, Although i had 1 nick pick about the unit, you had to put the volume up pretty far to get a decent sound level outa the unitlike 50 out 72 or some shit. Other than that it was a nice unit, it was http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_177.html nice unit, i would rec blau. Other than that only my only experiences with em.
