Dodge Dakota Club Cab

2 10" MTX Subs in plastic thunderform enclosure under the back seat powered by Rockford fosgate Punch 4002 ( 400W ) RMS Bridged Mono

The High pass stuff

Rockford Fosgate Punch 8004 4 channel at 100 X 4 at 4 ohms or 200 X 4 at 2 ohms

Front speakers are Infinity 6.1 perfect's Components 100W RMS at 4 ohms

Question, I want to put new rear speakers in that will complement this system and I want them to be 100W rms at 4 ohms or 200W rms at 2 ohms.

Should I use 2 way, 3 ways, Components? ETC. I would like to stay around $150 or less. Please suggest some specific speakers and why.

I realize im not going to win any competions with this setup (LOL) , Dont care what it sounds like sitting in the back seat. Just the front seat

Just shoot some ideas, Oh BTW there 6.5" round

Thanks Biker

I would skip the rear fill altogether as it just jerks with the soundstage. Are you trying for more clarity, volume, or what? an EQ and some time with a pro and an RTA might help a ton. If anything, I would only put some basic coaxes back there and just give them deck power. 2-5way coaxes are just varying degrees of hiss to me, the higher the # the more hiss.

x2

though since you have a 800.4 (as do i, (awesome) ) i would run the rears off the amp as well..get some simple 2 way co-axils under 100 and you'll be fine...no sence wasting money in back speakers..

would also like to add that you dont need to find speakers that are the same rms as the amp your powering them with..in certain situations its applicable but certaintly not for rear fill...

most co-axils and components arent 2 ohm...though there are some...

check out some of these.

..personelly i wouldnt spend over 100 for rear speakers....anything is better then stock

Accually since the cab is so small the front seats are about centered between the front and rear speakers. As the subs provide plenty of Low's Im really just looking for clairity. The Infinity 6.1 perfect components sound awesome. So im thinking after all your feedback getting some Midbass speakers around 75 to 90 RMS 4 ohm speakers.

Does this sound right?

Thanks Biker

i'm just using the stockers, running off the HU in the back of my clubcab dak. have the thunderform, RE components in kickpanels & xxx mids in the doors. i recommend that the rears not get as loud as what's up front.

midbass>coax>components for the rears. a good amped setup in the back will sound too bright
