Well I a thread about installing a radio in a 2001 chevy suburban with no bose and possibly bypassing and no response...so I went ahead and started installing the radio....I hooked the radio up and just the left from channel to see if it would work...well radio came on and then the speaker came on....so I started to turn up the volume and about half way the speaker stopped playing...I turned off the radio and then car , then turned everything back on and nothing.....then put back in the factory radio to make sure i didnt blow the speakers and then everything came back on UNTILL i turned the volume up then all the speakers turned off with the stereo on....so I left the car locked it waited 10 minutes and came inside....then went back got into the car and turn the keys without starting the car and it plays fine with volume turned all the way up , then i start the car and the speakers stop playing with the radio on...WTF!!!!

PLEASE HELP? any input will be greatly appreciated!

so did you hook a aftermarket HU to a factory amp in the truck? If so you may have damaged the factory amp in the truck I would think the wires on the back of the factory Hu are signal wires only putting out a couple volts and you drove more to the amps input then it could take and it was not going to get any louder as you increased the volume because the speaker will only get as loud as the amp it's hooked to (only a guess as the factory set-up is now not working)

well after researching i read that the factory amp is in the radio that powers all the door speakers......and that there is a factory amp that only pushes the factory 8 inch sub in the back.....but when i started to hook up the aftermarket radio i only connected the front left channel to make sure it works....and it did untill i turned it up...and now i hooked it all back up(factory radio) and its acting fukin weird........
