Please help me

i got my alarm installed about 2 weeks ago then i installed my dvd player about a week later. then while i was putting in my head rest units i left a power and ground wire bare and forgot about them till i heard that dreded sound zap. every thing shut off even my alarm went crazy. i checked all the fuses and nothings blown. i tried to put my old stock radio back in that does not even work any more . i checked to see if i was getting power to the harness and i am so can you please help me give me any suggestions thanks. I dont know what it could be since not even the stock radio works. so thanks for reading and if you have any ideas at all please let me know. oh yeah this might help i have a 99 chevy tahoe. thanks again i spent so much on this player and i cant get my money back now it is a clarion the 935 i think the newest one

 
Before you freak out. Check all the fuses with a test light, i know you said you checked them, but there is alot of fuses in the car and under the hood, if its not any of that its most likely arching or you have a problem with a relay.

 
sorry for the bellated response. A buddy of mine had the same problem with a mustang, brought it to the dealership and it was the relay.

Are anyother electrics not working in the car?, specifically turn signals, driving lights. Im sure you would have mentioned it, but to just rule it out.

I really really think its the relay, theres just to many variables to determine.
