I have a 2000 cadillac deville and im trying to find a TRUE ignition source, the wires coming out of my radio harness are dead and im trying to hook up a battery iso relay for a 2nd battery .....i been looking under the steering column for an ignition wire but cant seem to find any luck can anyone steer me in the right direction? any input is greatly appreciated!

haha get a dmm, put it on dc voltage, take a fuse out with the car off, put one lead to one side of the fuse and the other lead to the other side of the fuse. now have someone turn the key to ignition on without turning the car on and see if you get a 12 v reading the fuse tap it there.

so it doesnt really matter which fuse as long as it turns on with the ignition?

yes. and ONLY if it has 12 volts at ignition. if it has 12v when the cars off stay away. you dont want any parasitc draw in your system. oh and for each time you test a fuse with the dmm, switch the sides that you have the leads on and check again. fyi
