1. i wouldnt buy kicker, alpine makes an alright product. but if you really want a great product at a decent price read around here for awhile. some good subs would be, dc audio, sundown, ssa, incriminator audio, fi, skar, obsidian, and theres many more.

2.get a custom box there a bunch of guys here that can make you an awesome design and even build it for you if you cant.

3. same as the subs i mentioned but many many more.

4.most amp come with a bass nob but lots of head units have that feature in them also.

5.look into knu wire pretty much the best.

6.dont know

7.depends on instal

The reason you really haven't gotten any replies is because your post is too vague. There are so many different types of setups that we can't really choose for you. We need to know some specifics -- budget, what kind of music you listen to, what kind of vehicle you have, how much experience/skill you have, etc.

why no head unit? that should be the first thing you do and i wouldnt worry about anything else until that is in.

check out sundown sa-12. the box should be designed around the subs you get so u wont know the size untill you know what subs you want

also depending on the amp... your probably gonna end up with a 4 or 8 gauge wiring kit.

You don't need an AM HU. I don't have one, I just use stock. Granted, I have an EQ/line driver/LOC all in one piece to make up for it, but you don't NEED one.

OP, if you are firm on keeping your stock HU, I recommend picking up a used Audiocontrol EQX off ebay to integrate into your setup.

How much trunk space are you willing to give up? That will make the enclosure type easier to figure out and maybe recommend a sub that would do well in that enclosure.

Just off the info you have given, maybe check out the SSA Dcon subs. They get pretty loud for a budget sub and can handle more power than rated. $120 each

i'll give up my whole trunk i dont use it.....

i heard kickers today and absolutely loved them....... im not sure why people say the sound distorted and stuff like that, they pounded hard and sounded very good. i'd really like solobaric 15'' (2 of them)......

not sure if i would need a ported or sealed box...
