please help me build my sound system

Hi I have no idea what to buy I am a complete newbie to this. I have a 11 scion xb the stock speakers **** and I want to replace them. I want to spend around 200-400 total on speakers and sound quality is my main objective bass is last. I plan on getting one 12" sub no idea what to get again i want a better all around sound not bass. The head unit I'm replacing but not till newer models come out with android support. So can you guys please point my in the right direction. Thank you

no problem ,but if you are looking for sound quality , you will not get it from a deck with out amping the speakers,with that being said you want components in the frt doors and coaxials or just mids in the rear,as for a sub what size are you looking for and how much power do you wanna run on it ?

Does it cost a lot to buy an amp also? And if so can I do speakers now and an amp later? Do u have to have a separate amp for every speaker? And I have no idea what sub size or power to get I just thought a sub would give it a little more depth.

U can run aftermarket speakers via the HU but gotta member HU's might give u a solid 25x4 when most aftermarket speakers are rated around 100rms so will it wrk yes. Well you notice a major difference without amping them? Ther answer is no. Amps can be had cheap and they can also get $$$ just depends on what u want and what kinda budget your wrking with.
