I am trying to hook up my new pair of subs, this is the first time ive really done this.

-I already wired my amp with 4g power wire

-I am using a standard fuse, crutchfield claims I need a new one (For 105-amp fuse protection, an ANL wafer style fuse is required, but none of the 4-gauge wiring kits include a ANL-style fuse holder)

-I have my 6x9's powered by a smaller version of this amp and they sound great.

Here is what I have:

AMP: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-QNipEvROBwI/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=120&id=detailed_info&i=026TS19202

SUBS:

WIRING KIT:

I have no idea how the subs are wired in the box....I used to have them powered with a mono amp and I would only have to run the speaker wire to the 2 right terminals and it would power both.

What I need to know is, what is the optimal way to wire these babys?? I have tried a few things, the wiring that prooved most effective was running the right channel + and left channel - to the right terminals, and the left channel + and right channel - to the left terminals.

They hit pretty effin hard, but only with the bass boost all the way up, the XOVER set to LPF, and the LPF at about 100. I can say I am a little disappointed, considering the size of the amplifier and the power I get....I heard one guy say this amp set off alarms down the street.

Anywho, if anyone could PLEASE help me understand this, and how I should wire and set the dials I would be forever in your debt....and would be willing to return the favor in any way I can. CHEERS!

So...I cracked open the box...

the voice coils were wired in a series with a very short wire from each individual + and -.....you say to wire the VC in parellel, so I should run a wire from the + on one VC to the + on the other VC and the - on the left VC to the - on the right VC?

Then wire the remaining + and - on each woofer to the corresponding + and - terminal on each channel?

Maybe it can set off car alarms down the street if it were used to power 16 18" solo-x's, don't believe the hype man, one amp could set off car alarms, running 2 15"'s, but you **** sure as hell won't be doing that with 2 8"'s or something...

But it should do right as a system...

BTW... Only I can set off car alarms from 60ft away in open air... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You're sweet? way to help.

Anyways... wire the subs in series then hookup the two subs in parallel bridging the amp.... that should put 800watts to the subs.

so should I wire the VC in parellel, then run a wire from the + on one VC to the + on the other VC and the - on the left VC to the - on the right VC?

Then wire the remaining + and - on each woofer to the corresponding + and - terminal on each channel?

I am new to these whole wireing schemes.

Ok, that is the setup I had before....is that optimal for me?

I should have the xover set to LPF correct?

I have heard recomendations to keep the lpf dial at around 100, and the bassboost close to off....sound good?
