Please Help- 2 15's VS 1 15 + 4 8's

Hey everyone, I am currently running 2 RE HC 15's. They are great subs and hit really hard. I am just lacking the upper range of bass.

I was wondering if selling a 15 and getting 4 8" subs, probably the RE 8's would be a good idea?

I have 2 Orion HCCA 275R's to work with, so right now there is 1200 RMS per HC 15, but I can just put one HCCA on a 15 and the other onto 4 8's.

I know you usually don't want to mix subwoofers but I have heard that 15's and 8's is doable.

Any opinions would be great.

it will sound better with the 8's but i know he will loose some SPL

It's obvious that the lower end would not be as loud if I designed the system to hvae the 15 take care of all the lower end and the 8's take care of the upper bass, like 40+ hz or maybe 50+ hz.

I just can't afford to buy 8 8" subs as well as have a 15 leftover. I was thinking that for a RE HC I could hopefully get about the same amount of money it would cost me to get 4 8's. So by selling 1 15, I would add 4 8's.

Do you think 8 8's would be better than 2 15's? or 1 15 + 8 8's?

Too many decisions. Always looking for more/better

Ok so I realized that I'm a moron and that the RE 8's are dual 4 ohm, so I would be running 4 of them at 2 ohms, hence 600 RMS for all 4, being 125 a piece.

It's an orion HCCA 275R. It does 1200 RMS at 1 ohm and 600 RMS at 2 ohms. I have 2 of these amps, I was gonna use one for the 15 and 1 for the 8's.
