Yeah you got my same issue. Using the DSP as the master volume will mask it to a point. ARC audio has a noise gate basically designed around ford HUs. It's on my list of things to try in the future.

I ordered a Zapco LOC/line driver to go before the DSP to try to clean it up

A friend of mine in Europe has been battling similar issue with his BMW and that noise gate didn't help him. Bear in mind I'm not able to fly to Poland to see for myself, but just throwing it out there that it may or may not solve the problem.

Received a call from the stereo shop this morning. They said they fixed the noise and it was an adjustment that needed to be made on the FiX86.
losisatool, you should go to the dealer and get your ACM updated. SYNC has had significant issues with white noise and and a low level static in many vehicles including the taurus with MFT and Escapes with SYNC. Check into that before proceeding any further so you don't have to change your MFT and loose a ton of features in your car.

I don't have MFT. But that's exactly what it is.

I heard some bad things about the gate taking the air out in silent parts of songs. Sounding weird.

I already got the Zapco piece in but the wife won't let me have it until Christmas.
