Hi all,

First off, please excuse a newbie ignorance. I did search but still want to confirm the following:

Currently I have 2 sets of components (for fronts and rear fill) Alpine SPR 17S with Alpine F300 (4x50w) to drive those speakers. This amp is actually doesnt match (underpower) as Alpine MRP F600 would be a better choice to drive my components. Am I correct on this? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thanks!

Not understanding your question, nor your english. From what I'm getting you're asking what amp is better? Take the RMS from the speakers and match them with the RMS of the amp.... I don't understand the difficulty here. If you are above by a little it doesn't matter, it's better to have some overhead....

Willy,

Sorry for the confusion... Sometimes I can speak quite fluent but some other times I speak like a coccaine farmer.. dont ask me why because I just can't comprehend this myself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Anyhow, I was actually trying to ask whether or not this particular amp (Alpine F300 - 4x50w) is a good match for Alpine SPR 17S component speakers...

Thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Why don't you try bridging the amp so it puts out 150x2 for the front speakers. If it sounds much better to you, buy a new amp (such as the alpine PDX-150.4) so you can run all your speakers at that wattage. As long as it sounds good enough for you at 50x4, then that is all you need. It wont harm the speakers by going under the RMS.

Sunfire: Good idea! I'll try that this weekend... Thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
